Dr. B. Andrew Cudmore to Present Winquiry Model at IABPAD

ORLANDO, FL - Dr. Cudmore will be presenting a paper titled An Innovative Solution to Click Fraud at the International Academy of Business and Public Administration Disciplines (IABPAD) conference in Orlando, Florida on Saturday, January 6, 2007. His presentation, scheduled between 4:20 PM and 5:30 PM in the Jesters room at the DoubleTree Castle Hotel, covers the benefits of the Winquiry advertising model including its inherent abilities to prevent click fraud.

The abstract from this presentation:

Click fraud is a growing problem in the Internet advertising industry. A significant portion of the revenue created from Internet advertising has been the result of keyword and content matches when using search engines and visiting web pages. Revenue is generated when web users click on text or graphic advertisements. Search giants like Google and Yahoo! offer shared revenue programs by allowing third-party web sites to host their ads. When a user clicks an ad on these web sites, the revenue is shared between the search engines and the web site owners. Many people have found ways to exploit this revenue model, creating a lucrative industry for click fraud. This paper explores an alternative to the Cost-Per-Click (CPC) model by introducing an interactive Cost-Per-Action (CPA) model that offers the ability to combat click fraud and provide real results to advertisers.

Click Fraud Prevented with Innovative Advertising Model

MELBOURNE, FL - Click fraud has become a top concern for companies that use traditional Pay-Per-Click Internet advertising. Winquiry.com is offering a new Internet advertising model that fights click fraud and actively educates consumers about products.

Winquiry is a question and answer trivia game that is based on the products and services of its advertisers. Participants visit an advertiser’s website and research a product in order to submit a correct answer to the advertiser’s question. In exchange for the correct answer, the participant receives a chance to win a prize. During this process, the participants learn the URL of the advertiser’s website and become familiar with the website’s content. The participants have also learned a fact about a product that the advertiser has chosen to promote.

A Pay-Per-Action (PPA) pricing model has been implemented by Winquiry so that advertisers only pay for correct answers, not incorrect answers.  This action model demands less from the game participants than other PPA models.  Participants do not have to provide an e-mail address or other personal information, and they are not required to make purchases.  Participants may answer an advertiser's question multiple times, but the advertiser is only charged once per participant who submits a correct answer.  If a participant chooses to memorize answers and attempt to win a prize by repeatedly answering questions, then advertisers benefit from that consumer's continued education, brand recognition, and information retention for those products.  This is the opposite of click fraud - the more a participant submits an answer, the more information they retain, and advertisers receive added benefit.

According to industry analysts, over $20 billion is expected to be spent on Internet advertising in 2006, with a significant portion of that money being lost to click fraud. The Winquiry PPA advertising model takes measures to prevent fraudulent clicks that expend advertisers’ marketing budgets.

"Our patent pending model is innovative and extremely effective in the way the products are promoted. Information on the product is instantly retained, brand awareness is increased, and consumers are eager to play to win cash and prizes," Winquiry’s Chief Executive James Taylor said in a statement.

Winquiry’s player base is growing rapidly and Taylor said they are on track to beat their goals for 2006.
